Welcome!

PRIVATE SCHOOL HOMESCHOOLING: California Christian Academy is a state-wide private school satellite program (PSP) for parents choosing to homeschool their children. CCA believes that homeschooling is a great option for parents wanting a greater involvement in their child's education. Choosing a PSP (versus a Public School Charter see below), allows parents a lot of freedom to select curriculum and guide the child's values in line with family's world-view. Parents are responsible for all costs of books and materials and daily teaching schedules for your family.

Administrator serves as a guide in this respect but how you conduct your homeschool with the curriculum you purchased is completely up to you. There are many helps on this website, including a CA Teaching Guide, showing you the public school standards. Most mainstream curriculum companies surpass the California standards. See list upper left side of this link.

PUBLIC SCHOOL CHARTER: The CCA administrator also believes that public school charters  an excellent choice for those seeking an independent study option with more educational oversight from credentialed teachers. Charters also provide cost free books and materials at no expense to the parent. If you are feeling like you need supervision, a public school charter may be a better choice. Here is a public school charter locator.

  • CCA is a non-campus school and acts as a private school satellite program for California homeschool families.
